Re: New to steelhead fishing "never been yet"

Wow,thanks for the welcomes and the tips.Tonight i walked down to the river where i will be hunting fish

and i already have a few questions.I did the search but i think there so basic of questions that nobody has talked on them.
I will be using a plastic bobber with a jig.The bobber is going to be fixed as in wont move up and down.One spot looked about like it was 4 feet deep and down the river it looked more like 8ft deep.When i go to the deeper part of the river i want to move my bobber to 7 or 8 ft correct? Im sure the jig needs to be close to the rocks as possible.Thanks again for the warm welcomes and for the tips.Im off to search for some more info on steelheading
