I couldn't put in for elk this year as I finally drew waha last year. Thought about putting in for mule deer as we saw some real nice ones last year, but I love mid-november rut hunting too much.
Idahewes, I'm sure you are all over it, but if I had it to do over again I would strongly consider hunting from the river. If you have horses it's good to be you. As for me, I don't and it's very crowded on top, so we spike camped it out away from them for the opener. Anyway, packing out elk would have been alot better if it was downhill.
