Re: Mechanic Help Needed!

After much thought I told the mechanic to pull the distributer and check it out. Theres a little pin that sometimes will break. Nope everything was fine. He put it back in and just for the heck of it checked compression and lo and behold a miracle...we had perfect compression!

He's baffled and so am I....suspect that the belt did slip a couple teeth. Final cost was $260....he said if it happens again he'll work on it for free as he'd like to know what the heck the problem actually was.
