Requirements: Minimum US Coast Guard 50-Ton License and an FCC marine radio operator's permit. Preference is given to applicants with knowledge of diesel mechanics, waterjet propulsion and electrical systems. Be able to build team and maintain morale with crew. Supervise and assist in routine maintenance. Plan and execute emergency drills and safety meetings. Pre-employment and random drug testing is required by the Coast Guard. Preference is given to applicants who are fully available to work from late April through the end of September. Must be able to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
