Of that 4 million, 3/4 of them live within 100 miles of Portland, Oregon (our largest city). What that means is there's not many of us left for the other 90% of the State. Montana to our NE is at least half again as large as Oregon ... population? 1.1 person per SQUARE MILE. Or another way of looking at it is your standing in a square 1.62 KM per side ..... you ARE the only one there. I'm sure I'm off on this one but (if memory serves) the entire state of Wyoming has a population of about a half million. You get the idea, lots of room to wander around in ... undisturbed. Fred
