Dates for the event are June 24th thru the 26th.

Yes I will be paying for the first large can. SGM can you get Henerys Northwest Trails? I'm partial to that.

I'd like to hear from of the sled guys about volunteering to dropping off a contingent of Steelheader.net bankies at Andersons and Blue Creek. Or even a bit further downstream?

I'll be bringing a couple more folding tables also as the food usually overflows on saturday night. Sure wish Gutz would resurect "Thee Table."

As to everything else just bring what you can or want. Food will be consumed so no matter what you can bring just bring it, chairs become a necessity about dark, firewoods nice as is lanterns, tables and overhead cover is always a plus, I'll have to find out who the volunteer camp cook is so I can arrange to pay for the peanut oil, earplugs are a necessity but you are on your own for those....zipper secret is that steelhead rags work in a pinch, bring your kids as this is as a family event also, most of all just come and have some fun.

I work for a machine shop here in Lewiston I am a machineist. I run CNC lathes and mills and also manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, and slotters. I can weld, not very well but I can get it stuck good enough. I love my job and swing less big wigs looking over your sholder and more laid back. LIL off to bed.

Sleds... I am TRYING to talk Fishead5 into leaving his home and running mine for the 3 days.

See, I figured out that the boat driver is responsible for most of the hook-ups and I'm wanting to catch a couple for a change.

I think the June dates are a little early fish-wise. I could make the later July dates, but I guess I'll just wait and see what firms up.

It isn't a campground, it's just a dirt/grass/gravel parking area.

We surround non Cowtilla vehicles to the point they want to leave the immediate vicinity. If anyone asks, or complains, we point them towards Marty, who is a natural at diplomacy.

Does said travel trailer have an awning? This year, we were hoping to get two large vehicles (our old motorhome and?) stretch a large tarp between two for shade or rain protection. Our awning only accomodates a half dozen bodies. Overhead protection is an absolute must, as we always seem to have severe weather conditions either way at the Cowtilla's.

Which reminds me... This is what, Cowtilla version 4.375 Gooose?

Yes it does have an awning. the trailer is a 26 footer, and the awning is nearly full length.

Combat fishing rookies??? Just teasing buck and L-ette.....blue creek is a great place to fish if you don't mind a crowd and hiking a half mile to the hole. In winter time it's kinda spooky cause you can't walk along the river you have to hike "to the point up and over some nasty muddy slides...not for the faint of heart mind you. Great fishin at times and nasty people at times too. Shougal, Lewis, Kalama better bets for a woman, imho...not that SHE can't handle herself, it's the man who's the problem.....nothin like some arse making comments to the little women about her fishin abilities that get's a "knight in shining armor", ahem...man in trouble...but the tilla will be great, u can get dropped off at anderson bar which is across river from BC. Less civilized people there. I'll be there with the little women and hopefully with my d/b that hasn't seen water by me yet....see you there.

AM, my mh is an older one also without an awning but i do manufacture a better than awning shade awning that's about 17 x 10....great for eastern wa.......pvc and lowes shade fabric is a beeeuuutiful thing.......is the date final on this???? With the wife and me, if figure thats about 18 fish coming home with me......

Weel.......hmm.....we've been in the combat zone at Blood Rock on the NF Lewis, so I guess we'er not totally "rookies". btw... Lureette can handle herself quite well. She has a way with words that can zip up most lips from arse comments. She also rigs up her own and uses a nice Abu casting reel better than some men I've seen. She may just impress some.
Hopefully we'll be there.

Yup, it's a fun time (as long as it's not as hot as last year). Think you'd really have to be a prude NOT to have fun. Great get together. One event I have yet to miss. Even when I couldn't fish. Just sat and enjoyed the company.

LOL. Yeah, trust me, I know what hot is. Spent time in the SW, now that's HOT. Plus some time in your neck of the woods. But last summer was HOT.

Myself, I hate heat, why I live here. It cracked into the 100's last Cowtilla, that's hot for about anywhere. Well, except part of Arizona that my Grandparents used to live as snowbirds. It was cold in the 80's for them. LOL

Pretty sure I'll be there with the motorhome, big awning and Willie.

Hope the airconditioning running off the generator doesn't bother anybody but if it's HOT like last year I might have to spend some time indoors.

WW, you are a wimp! Did you mean to say the people who aren't from the South don't go outside?

They practice football in full pads in the South with 100 degree temps and 95% humidity!

Yeah I'm a whimp...... Yeah we go outside, year around, but when it gets too hot, its like winter there, gotta crank up the ac/heat.

I like to call it a "working retirement" plan, or the Lazy, Kick back South

I don't earn athlete wages, and I'm too old, so I just try to fit in with my 96 yr old neighbor...

WW, when I was in Nashville I was talking to one of the guys I worked with and comparing the Northwest and Nashville. He was amazed that we didn't have A/C. He thought everybody had it.

Combat fishing rookies???

Weel.......hmm.....we've been in the combat zone at Blood Rock on the NF Lewis, so I guess we'er not totally "rookies". btw... Lureette can handle herself quite well. She has a way with words that can zip up most lips from arse comments. She also rigs up her own and uses a nice Abu casting reel better than some men I've seen. She may just impress some.
Hopefully we'll be there.

Yeah, and I take out the garbage, swab the decks twice a day, do the laundry by hand in a washtub and hang it on a clothes line to dry, make my own lie soap for launderin and dishes and candles for light at night, sew all our clothes by hand in the candle light, crochet our underclothes, char tabaccee and can spit from here to the otha side of the street and never lose a drop o'spit twix me and the turget, cut Buckies hair with a dull, rusty knife, never ever drawin a drop of hees blood, and make it look like one of them thar haircuts from a professhunul that work in the big city, grow ma own food, can it and store it against the cold, harsh winter that's bound to be ahead of us, and if I had a hankerin to do it, could have a youngun a year for the next 10 years and still be goin strong. I ain't no wimp, that's for sure!

Yeah WussyWayne, it was a bit OVER 100 degrees (104) last year at MadCowtilla and I sure hope you get off your butt and get home BEFORE then so we can have better weather this time.

Lurette, remind me to tell you about the firewood "ax" near the campfire at the Chehalis tilla when I see you. I'd bet money that you probably would have done exactly what I did with it.

Kevin, I'll be there for sure, either bring your Willie or you can probably hitcha ride in mine. Aunty M... I'll be there with the Camper and an awning. Sounds like we will have plenty of shade, we'll circle the wagons so to speak. From the sounds of it we may have more people there this year then any previous. Gonna be a great time, Bring On The Food...
