I sold the GooosEgg boat so I have no opinion unless I get an invite to fish it.

doesnt matter, he never gives his opinion, he just wants us to step off into his Abyss. He would whine if he knew who was attending the NoF meetings.

Boater, shall I assume that you want to take home a nate?
How about an ESA listed sockeye from the north end of Lk Wa that cca was successful in stopping last spring. (Tribal)

CCA stopped the tribal netting of chinook in LK WA because we brought up the esa listed run of sockeye going up the samamish, bear creek etc. Otherwise the wdfw was going to let them net the chinook.
I thought I read later, the dept said the tribes said no to a fishery in Elliot or shilshole and gave no reason for it, according to the article. If memory serves. Same Tribe? What a coincidence...

i`d have no problem keeping a wild silver or chinook out of elliot bay or the green/duwamsih river, the only reason they want to change it is for more time on the water and sell more boats, there is no conservation involved.

Is there a healthy population of wild Chinook in the Green? Just curious as I don't know.

Why dont you just clone your fish. CCA has a rewards account for people who turn in poachers I hope the state raise the penalty for wild fish to 1000 dollars.
Have a nice day Boacher.

Actually, youre wrong mr.intelligent. Tom Pollock represented CCA at the meeting along with nearly a dozen other cca members in attendance. The tribes were there to get a net fishery. Not my problem if you dont like the answer. No reason to have a meeting if ESA listed Chinook was all it took to say no.

Actually, Yes there is and has been for several years.
It meets or exceeds escapement every year and has for years.
Really, I see no reason for a selective fishery at all in the bay.

I do. The escapement numbers have been reduced over the years. At some scientific level, the escapement of 50 60 70 percent to make sure the run is health and feeding the next generation. Is there a single native run of salmon or steelhead in this state that could survive a sportfishery of catch and retain? humpys and chums dont count. Another great example is the sockeye run last fall where the wdfw opened a sport season. Rather short sighted. If they had let that run go, it would have a better chance of growing into something as well as give us more information of the efforts of workers at the dams to recover as many fish as possible.
