Hey guys, what do you shoot? Stick and string or "string rifle"? I like them all, but choose to hunt with compounds, and prefer either a much-modified Jennings Speed Star or my new fave, a Martin Fury. Greg

Greg, I have shot an Oneida Eagle for about 4 years now, I love it but it is a pain in the ass to maintain, and it is very heavy! I took it to BC moose hunting last year, ended up taking my bull with a .270 instead never could get close enough to them for bow! Hopefully next time 2003, I will be able to bow shoot one we booked a hunt during the rut!

I also have the onieda strike eagle. I have a old darton back up bow for when the eagle crashes. I am not big enough to shoot the real heavy bows so I like the compounds ability to make me a better. The darton was purchased for its super light construction and the onieda was for speed. I agree with the onieda being heavy.

I shoot a pearson 440 classic. I like them all too! Would love to shoot a stick and string but that takes alot more than just shooting a few times a week.

Those Mathews are nice bows and very fast. I am not a big fan of releases..just another thing to pack along or malfunction. If you don't mind the release they are the way to go. A friend shoots the 3d circuit with one of those bad boys.

I shoot a martin fury with the fusion cam. Martin makes a good bow. I harvested 7 animals with this bow. It is a killing machine.

I shoot a 10 year old Pearson Spoiler plus. I know its old but when I bought it it was the fastest bow on the market, plus it has never let me down. I have taken many deer and elk with it, it still shoot 245 fps thats fast enough for me.

I shoot a Martin Altitude which I just purchased last summer before that I shot a Hoyt Defiant which I still have and use for 3-D's and as a backup bow.
By the way I love the Altitude, light compact but is a little more difficult to shoot.

Been shooting a Martin Lynx since '85. It still shoots where I aim it and kills what it hits. It will be a sad day when this bow decides its had enough. How fast is it?? I don't know, is that important??

I shoot a Hoyt Legacy, it's about 10 yrs old. I shoot fingers, no peep. I have several stickbows but have not become consistent with any of them.... yet. The hoyt shoots well but is very heavy, also long axle to axle 46".

I've been shooting PSE since the early 1980's. I have had the PSE Avenger for two years and have killed more deer than I care to admit with it. Super fast and quiet. I test shot the Matthews bows, but they did not "feel" right to me. They are quiet, but so is my PSE. Tim

Just bought my new one last friday. Parker Hunter Mag. I love it. Total switch for me going from my old Martin Firecat finger shooter. I switched to a release and cant believe how much tighter my groups have gotten
