Steelheader.net Range Day is Sunday Feb.13th
      #166325 - 01/30/05 07:42 PM

We had to change the Range Day from Saturday Feb 12th to Sunday Feb 13th.

This will be a rifle/pistol shoot and not planning any trap or skeet shooting @ this time, maybe plan one later.
Let's meet between 8:45 and 9:00 a.m. on Sunday Feb. 13th @ Evergreen Sportsman's Cub.

Here's the driving directions to Evergreen Sportsman Club.

Take I-5 to exit 95 (south of Olympia)to the Littlerock/Maytown exit. Take Littlerock/Maytown Rd.(Wa Hwy 121)West, towards the town of Littlerock.

Once in Littlerock, you must make what is technically a right hand turn (although it is more like driving straight forward)on to 128th Ave S.W.

Go straight on 128th untilyou come to a "T" intersection.
Turn Left onto Mima Rd.(You should see a sign for the Evergreen Sportsman Club at this intersection)

Travel on Mima Rd. for about 1.2 miles, turn right on Bordeaux Rd.

On Bordeaux Rd. Travel about 1/2 mile to Marksman Rd and turn right.

This will get you to Evergreen Sportsman Club, we'll be parked near the club house, see you there.

Any Questions call my cell that day (509)952-9694

Let's make this a target shoot and a swap.

So after shooting that morning, we'll have a gun stuff/fishing tackle swap.

Tridub mentioned he was bringing a Glock 22 (.40 S&W) to sell.
I'm bringing a 4 x 24 tactical scope, red dot sight, and maybe a SAR-1 Romanian AK-47 semiauto to sell. The SAR-1 is in great shape, with 3-30rd mags and a 75rd. Drum mag....we'll kick some $ back to marty and the board also

The cost of this shoot will be $8.00 per person, going to Evergreen. They'll have a range officer on duty, and shooting stations are covered if it rains.

They'll have targets and ammo for sale, but it's cheaper to buy elsewhere and bring with you. You'll also need ear and eye protection, here again bring with you or you can buy there. If nothing else, foam ear plugs cost .50 cents and wear sunglasses.

I know we already did this on the first post, but let's sign up on this post.

You might post, who's coming with you if anyone, what your bringing to shoot(you don't need to bring anything, I'll share, U buy the ammo) and anything you are bringing to the sell/swap.
Anyone looking for ammo deals, p.m. me as our local gunshop has some good prices on 9mm and 5.56 nato.

If you have any questions, please send a PM to Chinook (Jim) or me and we'll try to get right back to you.

I'll be there with Tridub1. I'll be bringing a HK .40 and a Interarms/Mauser .308.

What are you looking to get for the AK Bob?

Hey John, the AK is a 1 1/2 years old, with like 700 rounds through it....with no FTF's or any problems.....$325.00 with all the mags and 75 rd. drum.....need some room in the gun locker.
Also maybe bring a Marlin 22 semiauto rifle w/ scope...$50.00 and a Rossi 12 Ga. single shot...$50.00

I'm also cleaning up my shop, so I can bring my boat home next week, and should have some Salmon/Steelhead stuff for the swap.....whats anyone lookin for?

Consider it sold pending putting some rounds through her. Got any extra ammo for it?

....Cool John, just went out and checked. All 3 of the 30rd. mags are full, as is the 75rd. drum, plus 10-12 more 20rd. boxes of Wolf 7.62x39...I'd say 450-500 rds and I'll keep lookin....we'll use that for the demo test fire and you can keep whats left.

I'm still planning on being there. I'm probably only going to bring the 22 rifle and the 357. I'm glad you addressed the smoothbore topic, I was talking with Chinook and Navyrick about that yesterday. Anyone interested in a spanish made 12 gauge over and under?

Hey RR,
What kind of deal can I get for some 45acp ammo?

Anyone driving up from my way? Can maybe carpool

The way things are looking is that I'll be there if this redneck country boy can find his way I'll have the Kimber 45, T/C Contender (the hand cannon ), mini14, AR15, and a good ol 10/22.

For swap? I might have some of the KILLER NF Lewis river eggs, pint or two, not as good as the UEC but I'm gettin there. I put on more then a few shows with them this last fall on fall chinook from tanner creek on the Big C all the way back to the lewis.
I also have more then I'll ever need Ruger 10/22 BC 25rd mags.

I'll take them okies twistaround

From what it sounds like, there will be many 223s, 308s and 9mm, 45acp there....pick up some of that.

If anyone has been looking at getting a 12ga rifled slug barrel for there 12ga but would like to shoot one first, if anyone wants to shoot one let me know and I'll bring mine up.

I have 2 or 3, 25rd boxs' of winchester 2 3/4in 00 buckshot that I thought I would use but don't anymore. Thinking $10 bucks a box or in trade for some other ammo.

WHAT A BLAST!!! new [Re: LongJohn]
      #169562 - 02/13/05 08:02 PM

What a fun shoot, thanks to everyone who attended.

To those of you that couldn't make it, you missed a good one.

To Evergreen Sportsman Club Thank you for opening your rifle/pistol range up 3 hours early for 9 Steelheader.Net shooters, you have a nice facility.

I think their Rangemaster enjoyed our group of fisherman.

I'll post some pictures when I get them downloaded off my camera.

Thanks to Jim(Chinook) for helping set this up.

Was nice to see old and new friends

It was impressive seeing some of the "toy" collections. I was just a little confused on the selector switch only going to fire and no burst mode
Bob sure let the guys send enough rounds down range with all of the ammo he brought!
Trap/skeet day Skyguy? Yeah, I'd be game to shot at those little disks. And I do mean "at". I only get about 15 on the skeet range, but it's fun.

That was a blast...had a good time Sure wish I could say the same for my shootin

Chinook, thanks for the tips and such...when I said to embarrass me, I was only joking But soon as I got home, I ran out back and did a little more practice without anyone watching.
At least I was still able to shoot my T/C worth a dang

That 308 auto of RRs was a hoot to shoot. Looking thu the scope seeing heat waves coming off of it and its still holdin good at 100 yards!
Some real nice toys there. All the black guns and some nice pistolas

That was fun. Thanks to all who let me shoot their guns. After seeing that arsenal from just a couple of guys I'm not to worried about any invasions atleast in this state. Pretty impressive. Special thanks to Bob, Chinook, and Kingfisher85.

Hey Nate, thanks for helping load all those 30rd mags, my thumb gets sore after a couple hours of that.

Also for taking the time dial in the Olympic K-8.(Coyote Gun)
I had it close enough bag 5 yotes this last month, but you got it down to where we can put 30rds into a 1.5 inch circle @ 100 yards, thats pretty impressive.... I'd call that a tack driver!

No dought it will shoot 5rd groups in the 1/2" range or better @ 100 yards.

flat shooting gun, i love the long upper with the heavy barrel. it makes it real easy to hold it steady. you'll definately give those coyotes a little hell this year!
