Well the silvers are showing up pretty well now. Fished Mud island and the tolet hole on saturday. We picked up a boat limit. On sunday took a trip to Kasilof. Lots of pinks and the silver fishing was slow, but they were there. WRO was my hero this weekend when he picked up a limit in 5 minutes on the Kasilof  Lots of pinks in both rivers. It will keep you busy. Flys and roe are producing well for silvers and vibrax and pixes for pinks. On monday Went to cortz creek for some dollie and rainbow action. The dollie fishing was great but didnt see a single rainbow. Watch out for bears, lots of dead fish. Good luck and Happy fishing.

Yep thats her, she has only been fishing with me for two years and is coming along nicely, If I could only get her to row the boat. She did pick up a fly rod last year and is doing really well with it. She impresses me every time we go out.

Well lets start off by that coho was around 16 lbs and the sockeye I would say to be around 10-12. Its pretty spawned out. It was caucht on her 5wt by accident. I released both so im not to sure of the weight. Now for those pink boots, I was going to buy here a pair of muck boots because her feet are always cold. Well she goes on vacation to Boston and comes home with those things. I told her she couldnt wear those in my boat. Well ever since she wont take them off. The worst part is here feet are always cold and those stupid things cost 40 bucks! Im telling you BG they are difficult, you just notice there are never people in my pictures that arnt with me (shhh secret spots here) LOL

I went up to Kenai and fished Quartz Creek this weekend. It was SWEEET!!! Caught some NICE dollys and a few decent rainbows. I will be posting my pictures soon!!

Well, I followed your directions and went up the pass and parked on the side of the road. Hiked up creek and found some S's in the creek. Fished around 6pm-10pm and did fair. Caught 4 really nice Dolly's ranging around 11-18 inches. They were nice. I got one really nice rainbow also but not as nice as the dolly's. If you want to catch some nice dolly's this is the place to go. Thanks KenaiKing for the information on a great spot to catch some nice fighting fish.

Oh ya, I was using a Mepps #3 and a Vibrax. I used silver color lures and Sunday morning I was catching them like crazy. I got 6 dollys in the morning hours from 5A.M to around 9:30A.M. The sun came up and fishing was done but let me tell ya. The fishing was absolutely great in the creek. Also, I caught a nice Silver on a Vibrax lure. I promise to get the pics posted soon.

Yep, you did great. I saw some guys floating eggs on a bobber down there last time I was there. I love fly fishing that creek with my four weight. I know one day im going to get schooled by a really big rainbow luring in one of the deep holes. Although I did bring in a big ol sockeye on it. He was half dead though

Ya, I like to try out new things. More often then not I use the fly rod but sometimes I just like to use the ole caster and test out some lures. I was surprised the size of the Dolly's in that creek. Plus, the big silver I nailed out of there really surprised me. The creek is a blast.

Its a great spot. I like it because alot of people use CNR. Dollies are greta to eat fresh, but go bad really quick. When we were there last week, I spoted a few larger fish I wanted to target. When I went to walk across to them I spooked about 10 smaller dollies out of a hole. Its amazing how many are in there. Did you see any bears? I saw lots of tracks but no bears.

Ya, the water is so clear I could see the dolly's swimming with some of the salmon. They were all over the place. Some of the big ones were hiding under the fallen out trees.
I didnt see any bears either. I was a little uneasy seeing all of those dead salmon around and it was dark 30 when I was fishing.

Damn, thats what I need. I just have a 870 Remington Express Sawed off. Its nice but a bit bulky to carry around.
And sometimes I feel more secure with the 18 rounds my Glock has compared to the bulkyness of my shotgun. By the time I get that thing out, i could have been dead by then.
