Hood Canal Shrimp
      #185463 - 05/07/05 05:33 PM

Looked like the people that shrimped Quilcene and Dabob bays did well. Nearly everyone limited. Those who didn't quite limit were setting their gear to deep. With the overcast sky those who concentrated around 160 to 210 feet did the best. Did talk though to several who limited on some extremely large shrimp for the canal....they were fishing way deeper than 300 feet at the bottoms of some extreme dropoffs.

Pleased to announce that Ifish4U and wife are no longer HC shrimp crackers....two pulls and they were done. I wonder if they left any beer in their RV for me?

Must have been the 10 year old Puss n Boots and really nasty tuna in oil he got from me. Hope he wore a mask and rubber gloves when he opened them cans.

Gooose,
That rotten old Cat food!!! I would never use it if I was you. Stinks bad.
But, we were forced into using it cuz' it was all we had with us and got the limit of 320.
Man, what a day on the creek with my wife, son and grandson.

Can't wait till Wednesday. Gonna try it again with some good bait cuz' I used up most of that rotten crap.

P.S. Gooose, got any more ya want me to get rid of? Here's a picture of the 320 just before cleaning and seperating out.

That is a big bag of shrimp ! Want me to show you how to cook up all of the next batch?

Sorry but that was the last of the vintage cat food.

Did you get that new pot? If you did note the size of the funnel inside openings.

See you around Tuesday nite....I'll have the local teenagers relocated before you get here.....they didn't find any beer either.

Gooose, Ya, stopped by that place that has a sign on the road, Mike@Brothers Welding , and bought one of the monster pots but didn't check the openings in them. Told him you sent me there and that you'd come buy to pay my damage. Will check the openings in the pot tomorrow.

If I did have beer in my motorhome what brand do you think it should be?

Henrys Northwest Trails works for me.

Back in a bit...have to see why Whitedog just came howling back from out front and crawled under the porch! I can see a lot of flashing red and blue lights out by the driveway entrance...wassup with that? There was a loud explosion earlier!

Fred that monster pot is the one my bud makes...careful with that weapon as they have been known to limit a boat all by their lonesome.

Let me know if you want more of those? I get a price break with advance notice.

WFFF I got a davit, block aka pulley, and a base plate I'll make you a deal on if Marty doesn't want it. I'll throw in the Briggs pot puller motor also for free under the same circumstances. The motor may need work.

WFFF it's yours. The davit base plate is designed for mounting in several configurations. I'll bring it to the Cowtilla.

Marty you can always get Bux to pull the pots.

Ishrimp4U is all tucked in again and ready for tomorrow. Good luck tommorrow Fred!

Expect some fog on the canal inthe morning so set your gear in shallow. 150 to 200 feet. Hopefully the wind won't come up again like it did today.

Fred the locals in certain waters in the Forks area fired quite a bit of ammo at your sled. Didn't get back until after dark so I hope it still floats.
