Went out Thursday by myself. Frustrating to start, I lost three Silvers in a row. Finally landed two bucks about 10 pounds each. Hot Spot flasher, dark green glo squid at 65 feet, mid channel off of the shipwreck. I saw lots of nets out.
The Everett Derby is this weekend, they will prob lessen the population, I'll wait until mid week to try it again, maybe some new fish will come in..

Man I miss that silver fishing off the shipwreck. 2 10 lbers is a good haul for that area.

Sweet! Boat be willing (it is a long and horrid story) we are going out again on Tuesday. Hoping to transition our momentum from Pinks to the da Coho.

If you are launching out of Everett, I'll be there tomorrow. North Rver Seahawk, blue trim, Salty Dog sticker and a WAZZU sticker on the side window. I'll prob start out a little north of the shipwreck, mid channel. Hope to launch around 6 but sometimes I run a little late

You could say that! The WDFW fishchecker reports for Sat and Sun showed a 70% success rate, JUST ON SILVERS, not counting Pinks.

Went back out today by myself, my buddy had to baby sit his grandson. Two hooknose bucks and one Pink by 10:00. There are hordes of Silvers out there. Took one Silver and the Pink early right off of Mulkiteo. Bite went dead and around 9:30, went to the Shipwreck had the gear in the water about 5 minutes and got my last Silver. I usually use the light green spatterback glo squid. But last week and this week they seem to like the dark green spatterback glo squid. 65 feet on the DR. Midchannel mostly.

I was out there today with a neighbor, 16' Hewes Sea Runner w' blue trim. Pulled a dime-bright 9.5 lb hen and a 9 lb buck just north of shipwreck, one at 85' and one at 120'. Gorgeous day to be on the water.

You were deep. My fish last week and Tuesday all came at 60-65. I have been trolling fast, 3mph+ on the GPS. Not sure what the actual water speed was, but I have been trolling quite a bit faster than the guys around me.
We should agree on a VHF channel to share news.
How about 68?

The fish I got on Saturday were from 85 to 105 feet. We also seemed to be trolling faster than most of those around us.

Most fish we marked were around 100-140, so we fished one high and one low. WE were also running 3+ kts.
Doubt I'll get back out there before it's over, unfortunately. Between work and trying to get stuff done on the boat before the skies open for another eight months...
I'll say this though, don't be afraid to stray a bit from where the mobs are. When we were heading in, we stopped about halfway between Mukilteo and Everett to change fuel tanks, and marked a huge group of fish, ranging from 60-180 feet deep. Had we not been running an hour late we would have dropped gear again and done a few sweeps of the area. There wasn't another boat fishing within a mile.

I took my neighbor out yesterday. We got two Silvers early at 7-8AM near the Mulkiteo ferry. But then the bite died. Fished Browns Bay and Shipwreck too but slow. Fishchecker said about one fish per boat.

I heard about the same.
I made the mistake of dragging my boat back down to the storage yard at the 10th St launch just as the hordes from the derby cut loose...what a friggin nightmare. Forgot the damn thing was on.

No, I didnt make the derby. Derbys are OK, I've been in the Port Angeles Halibut derby twice. But I'm just not a big fan of the crowds.

My weekend is full of other stuff to do, so tonight is the only chance I have. Launching after work today out of Mukilteo. I hope there are still a few left to be had - trying to get my step dad on his first salmon of the year. I'll try and post a report tonight.

Since I'm retired, I dont usually fish weekends. But I'm taking my daughters fiance out tommorrow. He almost never fishes. Maybe I can turn my future son in law into a fisherman. Good guy, in the Marine Reserve and he served in Iraq as a sniper no less.

Sat went 2 for 3. Got one off the shipwreck and got one and lost one on the west side of possession. Fishing tomorrow with my neighbor. Thinking about launching at Langus Park and pulling plugs on the lower Sno. I've fished the lower Sno for Pinks but never for Silvers. So its a try it and see deal. I've heard good reports but Silvers often get lockjaw in tidewater.

I've heard they bite better with some rain, but haven't experienced it myself. I've casted plugs and thrown dick nites for them in the lower snoho when it's pouring rain with silvers jumping and rolling all around me with no luck. But I tend to have that effect on fish.

Yesterday, I chickened out on the river. I figured I've been doing OK in the salt so I fished the usual spots. Went 1 for 2 early at Mulkiteo. Then about 9 I went down with the fleet and got one more just south of the Possession buoy, done by 10. That seemed to be the spot yesterday. The two I got were nice bright fish so there are fresh ones coming in.

I'm going to give the salt one more shot tomorrow, but according to the online fishchecker reports, the Silver catch was way down last weekend. It was a great run but it is prob winding down. Only a 20% success rate at Everett vs 70% the last few weeks.

Just FYI BC--if you are launching from Muk I think I saw that they are taking the Docks out--unless you have alum--then you can bank it.
let me know how it goes I was wanting to hit it this week

It was lousy. We got one blackmouth over by the possession buoy and that was it. I never did see a net. We also fished the Shipwreck and Mulkiteo. Either we need some rain to bring in some fresh Silvers or the Silver run is toast.

Thanks for the report. I'm thinking about giving Lake Washington a try this weekend, either that or bank the snoho/sky.

Silver fishing in the salt is over. Last weekend, the fishchecker report for Everett was 220 anglers got 8 silvers. I dont want to quit using my boat. I'm thinking after this rain, maybe the tidewater Sno will be coming on for fresh Chums.
