I'm in the hunt for a spey rod blank. Looking for G Loomis, Sage or some other top-line maker. Anyone have anything laying around unfinished?
Thanks.

Ask Marty, he has some Loomis spey blanks. Will warn you with this. Loomis makes world class rods, except speys. LOL. They are more a long one traditional rod then a true spey. I found I had to overline my old Loomis Spey almost up to a 12wt spey line to throw properly. But with a standard 9wt spey line (I was running a 14' 8/9 spey by loomis) I could traditional overhead cast that thing a country mile (all of the running line with a few false casts).
Loved the Sages, and the St Croix's as well (I had one of the older Cabela's models made by St. Croix, now are made overseas I think) and it was a wonderful rod too.

I know were to get some rainshadow seconds (13') for over half of listed price. The guy says the flaws are cosmetic.
