Planning on a trip to 8-2 tomorrow. Launching at Camino Park and probably fish Elger Bay and Greenbank. Any recent news? I have done well at Elger in years past. Johns Sptg Goods newsletter recommends Elger in current issue.
Thanks

I haven't been out in a couple of weeks, Racetrack is always good. Good luck, let us know how you do!

Thanks. I fish the racetrack and south Hat a lot.
Launched at Camino Park at 7:15. I like Saratoga passage this time of year. Hooked and landed a blackmouth at 9:00. My scale is busted (somebody stepped on it last Fall), the BM was 35 inches and looked to be 15 pounds. Nice BM considering my all time biggest BM was only 19 pounds. Landed another at noon, 26 inches and 6-7 pounds.
Fished Elger Bay and also in front and a lttle north of the launch. Got both fish at 80 ft on the DR, 100 ft wtr, green hotspot with a florescent green large size coyote about 45 inches back with a bead swivel in between. Had a silver/green coyote on the other DR but they seemed to like the florescent. Tried a spatterback green glo squid but no good. I thought about releasing the last fish and keep fishing but my bud wanted to get home. So we quit just after noon.
Both were white kings. They seem to be more common when you get north of Everett. Canada is known for white kings. I sometimes wonder if these are canadian fish that drift south around now. Only two other boats around, didn't see any other fish.
Got both at same spot, no surprise since that was only spot where we saw bait. Nice healthy fish, empty stomachs.
Good fishin!

Right on! Any day you catch a 15# Blackmouth is a good day! I consider these white fleshed blackmouth to be the best eating. I saw troll caught Chinook at QFC where they were asking $18.99/lb for them! I bet those Blackmouth you caught taste better.

I haven't fished Pt No Point in awhile. I used to fish it a lot in the Spring. Think I'll try Sararoga Passage again this week. I like the west side of Possession on a flood tide but last year it was even worse for dog fish then it used to be. I retired but all my buddies turned into snow birds and they dont come back until end of April! So my winter/spring fishing buddy list is getting short.

Barchaser, myself and JimH fished the West side of the bar back in February, we only put one keeper in the boat, but we did not catch a single Dogfish, so maybe they aren't that bad this year.
