A young friend of my brother recently moved to Wash., and is an avid fisherman. He'd never even seen the ocean, so I took him meat fishing out of Westport Saturday on charter boat Freedom with skipper Chuck Custer. Weather was pretty nice, though it got a bit breezy later in the day. Fishing was great, both for rockfish and lingcod. My new fishing buddy Chad caught at least a dozen rockfish and four ling cod. (On charter boats, everyone keeps fishing until all limits are caught.) Chad had a great time, was grinning & giggling all day. I can't wait to get him into some springers, he'll be drooling and twitching like the rest of us salmon junkies.

el, you ruined the poor young man. Now he won't want to get involved with Tennis or Fencing or any of the more quality and refined leisure activities. He's probably going to think that "Od de Herring" or "Night of the Egg Cure" are preferred courting scents. Great Job!!!
