Crave sucks! I was smart enough to not by some when it first came out. My brother and all his friends paid like $6-7 per jar,and never even had a bite while using it. The little bit of time I trout fish anymore,I'll resort to PB if the fishing is really slow, but otherwise its trolling and C&R for me.

P.B has its place on opening day
I have found that I catch way more and bigger fish if I can figure out what fly in my box matches what the fish are eating that day and troll it

98043, when I fish lakes I troll flies 95% of the time. Small woolley buggers or other wet flies, either on a sinking tip or on a floating line with a long leader. A few evenings each spring I fish local lakes and it's very common to catch planter after planter after planter. The other 5% of the time I still-fish chronomids or egg patterns.

--------------------
This can't be healthy. All this fishing is really messing with my head.

(late afternoon) Wooly Buggers with just a hint of color , pulled through the weeds. I accidentally discovered that I acutally could retrieve through the weeds on ***** Lake not far from my house.
(early evening and dusk)Real hard to see through the heavy tannin color of the water on that lake, so I tried a spinner fly. Lots of fun. I only wish this lake had a dock or some sort of structure so I could take my kid with me.

Buggers, buggers, buggers...99% of the time and always the most productive for me with a zig zag trolling pattern, speed up, slow down and find the depth where they are hanging out.

Trolling in a float tube is a great leg workout - until the cramps set in
