Toad Lake (Whatcom)
      #108897 - 04/19/04 09:43 PM

Toad Lake (29 acres): Toad Lake is located 5 miles northeast of Bellingham. From Bloedel Donavon park (whatcom lake) go east on north shore drive approx. 1 mi, left on Britton rd. .5mi, Right on Hillsdale Rd. .5 mi, Left on Toad lake Rd. to end, approx. 1 mi. (note do not follow up hill, turn left at Y)

It has a WDFW access with a porta-potty and a gravel boat launch on the west end. There is also a good sized dock and excellent shore access.
Fishing is usually excellent on opening day for small to medium rainbow trout. Some kokanee are also available.
The lake is partially developed with a fair amount of natural shoreline. Depths range up to 30 feet.
Parking is somewhat limited, there is a decent sized parking lot along with other small areas throughout the site.
