I recently picked up a new (to me) drift boat and would like to take it out for the first time on a lake and maybe catch a little something while I'm at it... Any ideas near Duvall?

There's a whole bunch of lakes right behind you. Go to topozone.com and search.

I think Lake Margerate (sp?) is a public lake that you could fish a DB on. Monroe has a few in the hills as well
topozone to find and a little research after that should point ya in the right direction!

Thanks for the posts. The topo link is great! I've never fished for lake trout. Any suggestions on tackle and techniques?

Margret is great. I baisically learned to fish there so that lake has many great memories. Try trolling wedding ring/worm combos and dare devil spoons. Flat fish also work well.
