Big Lake -- 545 acres. On Hwy 9 northwest of Montbourne. The lake holds rainbow, cutthroat, bass, perch, crappie and bullhead.Sunny warm days expect the skiers to be out in force. It is a developed lake with many man made structures (docks) the south end of lake is all natural shoreline. Directions, East from Mt Vernon on Hwy 536 (college way)to end. Right on hwy 9 approx 2 mi. Right on West Lake blvd. approx 3mi. to WDFW access area on left left side. There are toilets on the west side of rd. above the launch. Parking area is ample but can fill up quickly on weekends. The ramp is concrete and had some work completed on it this past winter to help with existing problems.
