Squalicum Lake (33 acres): Cutthroat trout are the main attraction along with brown trout. It was rumored that there would be a plant of triploids this year. This fly-fishing-only lake is 6 miles northeast of Bellingham on the Mt Baker Hwy (542) Parking is right next to the road, after the #6 mile marker. Walk up road past gate and follow dirt road over the hill (1/2 mile) There is a toilet on the north end along with a creel census booth.
