Delta area ... now Twassen (sp?) The family 'homestead' is now a super market complex, etc.
:>(

But great place to 'grow up;' nothing but woods and my Cus. Pete and I were like a couple of 'wild Indians.' Grand Father would take the two of us out in the morning and build a fire. Spent the rest of the day boiling cans of water, peeing into bottles for 'poison' to tip our hand made arrows.

Right across the street was an old Indian burial ground (long since picked clean as there's a condo complex on it now). Would search for 'artifacts;' I never found a darned thing but Pete had a nose for it. Arrow heads to jaw bones.

Wayyy too many coincidences here.
My inlaws live in Tsawwassen. I worked a couple of construciton projects there as well. We've got a number of friends who grew up there, but very few who can afford to still live there as yougn couples. (Most of em move to Langley, Maple Ridge etc.)
The last place we lived before moving down here was Ladner. I think I might have worked on the condo complex you're talking about.

When we finally do meet, it'll be a hoot.

Oops sorry, my mistake looks like this is now the former canadian resident's thread. The income taxes have to be high up there last I checked there was only 32 million people in Canada to pay the taxes. Heck theres probably more than that in NYS alone. Chicago area has 7-8 million I believe.

Hal, the numbers are probably off .. but think California has a greater population than all of Canada.

We are a 'small but mighty race of men and women.' Or as Garrison K. would say: " all the men are strong, the women ... etc. (Or something like that.)

Poop: as this thread deals with the Sandy River 'Clave (next weekend) I'll have a ton of photo's on the weekend early (early next week). Joan uses her web-shots album pages for this;will post the link when they been up-loaded.

The above will take you to photo's of previous 'Claves, events, etc.
