I have a Beretta 96G Elite II,
So I was wondering if anyone loaded Barns X pistol bullets for there 40 s&w?
I Was given two boxes of hornady Custom Ammo 155gr XTP,
Has anyon shot these, Did you like them? What would be the best thing to shooty them into, so I can dig it out?
Also If Any one has A 9mm Elite II Slide and barrel for sale I would be interested in it. Then I could swap from 40 S&W To 9mm
Thanks in advance ..... Ross

My favorite .40 Cal round is the Speer Gold Dot, 180 grain at 1000 fps. It has a big wide mouth at the business end. If it is good enough for the Sheriff's Dept, its good enough for me.
I have shot a number of different rounds in my HK USP, and instead of worring about getting the absolute best bullet, I looked for the most accurate factory load with good bullet performance. Funny thing is, after trying 6 other brands, I went back to the Gold Dot that I already had three boxes of.
You could order a .357 Sig barrel from Barsto Barrels or someone else instead of going traditional 9MM. Better performance, and you can still use your .40 cal mags and slide. Just a thought.

I'm no expert on .40 cal. S&W, but have shot the Berreta Cougar 8040 I bought from Musicman a little. It came with like 750 rds of Speer Lawman....like what Andy is talking about, and is a very good load.
What I've found over the years with my Glocks(17 & 21) is nothing beats trigger time. To become accurate you need to shoot........alot! At first I always thought my Glock 17(9mm) was just more accurate than my Glock 21(.45 ).....the fact was that I had shot 1000's of rds thru the 17 on Wednesday night combat shoots @ our gunclub, and the .45 hardly ever.....after more rds. thru the .45 it's accurate as well.

Phone books or newspaper soaked in water makes a good bullet trap.
