Since rags are the latest hot lure. What are some of your favorite color yarn combinations? Are you using closed or open cell foam? Are you using bait behind your rags? sequins, beads or water hose to keep them from riding up on your hooks?
My fav rag recipe requires an inch of closed-cell b-rod, 12 lb UG, 2/0 gammy, a small cheater and yarn. My proven yarn color combos are: purp/red/chart, cer/or/chart and cer/grn/chart. Rig cheater between hook and rag. Have hooked a few w/o bait, but much more effective with bait -- sandshrimp tails, cluster eggs, cured prawn and squid tentacles, in that order.
