There have been some nice red springs caught the last week in the Chilliwack/Vedder.Lost one chrome 8# and bonked a slightly coloured buck of 9# myself today. Sockeye are also being caught(must be released).Fishing on the Fraser continues to be good for springs with sockeye also showing.Opening for sox is yet to be announced.

Friday, up above the Agassiz bridge, Dad boated a 25 and 30. After taking him downriver more than a mile, to well below the bridge the 25 went deep, taking an 11' rod to full bend, tip in the water, and suddenly went vertical and jumped into the boat. Into the boat. Into the flippin boat.

Lots of good sized springs still to be had and the socks will be open in a week.

That's a big fish to have flying into the boat. I don't want 25lbs of anything flying at me.

Yeah, now imagine a 74 yr old, on his own, in a 14' Lund on a big river. That 74 yr old is supposed to have a hip replacement but is too stubborn (old oil field injury from the 50's) is on a wait list for heart surgery, and is has bvery poor vision in one eye (cataract - also on a waiting list for surgery)
