Rogue?
Things you find when your not really looking. Came across the Gold Ray Dam fish counts this morning (figures run from 1942 to 2003). The fish counting station is just north of Medford, Oregon and these fish are those that go into the top 30 miles of the river. The counts would NOT cover fish into the Applegate, Illinois, etc., and etc.
A taste to catch your attention ...
2001: spring kings-33,273, Fall kings-13,606; coho-32,962; summer runs-16,114; winter runs-8,944.
2002 spring kings-47,781; fall kings-19,823; coho-34,154; summer runs-29,296; winter runs 22,287.
2003: spring kings-41,841; fall kings-24,857; coho-17,179; summer runs-20,297; winter runs-24,850.
In context, the fall king/coho/summer steelhead runs over lap so that's a heck of a lot of 'here fishy, fishy' in a 30 mile stretch of water at one time!
