GL area update new
      #127095 - 08/03/04 10:58 PM

Here in the GL area we dont usally start putting down the 4wt rods to pick up the 8/9wt's till about the first of september BUT....
With the weather we have had the spring the Salmon runs are already starting to show signs. Here in Michigan the east side rivers are still pretty empty of salmon as that side of the state runs a few weeks behind the west side. But the good news is the west side rivers not only have some guys at the river mouths hitting a few kings early in the morning but there are "some" kings starting to run into the rivers as of right now.

looks like the salmon runs will be starting a good 2 weeks early this year. just wanted to keep the GL guys updated.

You bet BG nothing better for a GL area fisherman than the time of year that is just starting to get into swing! I've got alot of trips planned to some of the more well know MI rivers such as the Pere Marquette and Au Sable as well as some planned to some "lesser" talked about ones.

I'll try to keep you guys updated as much as i can.
