Kokanee again.
      #128397 - 08/11/04 12:03 PM

Green peter resivior is still kicking out lots of Kokanee for those that are targeting them. They havent gone deep yet like they usually do this time of the year.

I took a guy from work and his wife out yesterday and we put 38 in box from 6:30 to noon. We fished off downriggers at 40 to 50'.

I run my flashers off the ball, a 5 oz lead of the flasher then a release. It looks like a mess but it seems to work good. Off the rod I use a Brads Wobbler or a Clancy's wobbler 12"leader and a Silver/red butt small Dick Nite spoon tipped with white corn. I scent my corn with either Pro-Cure kokanee special or a garlic and anise concoction I make. The garlic/anise worked best yesterday.

Go get some before it gets too late. With a 25 fish limit you can put some meat in the box.

Yeah I have to play with the little fishies until we get some rain. At least its keeping me from chasing the bass..................LOL

I dont know about everyone else from Oregon, but this time of the year is my slow time for fishing. But come October Im very busy all the way through June.

Do you ever take any time off to go hunting?

Yeah, if it rains hard enough to blow the rivers out, then I grab the rifle. If it doesnt rain that hard, I dont hunt.... Last year I spent 10 days waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy over east and missed out on a good salmon bite. Didnt kill a deer either. The jack rabbits caught hell though.
