Recently caught in Lake Ontario imagine one of these in the river. Yes we also have some big ones out in GLs.

olcott is alot of fun. one of my favorite places in the world is fair haven. sometimes i really miss the great lakes, guess thats why their great.

Guess you lived in NYS at one time ?
GLs fishing is down from the great 70s and 80sbut still good. Its an incredible fresh water resource that obviously is difficult to manage. Invasive species, industry, and nature/weather cycles are complex variables to manage.

Imagine how many alewifes and smelt that pig has eaten over its life time, and the bioligists have been saying Lake Ontarios forage is diminishing and they are worried about it.
