I live in Bothell. Went fishing with my buddy who lives in Portland. I stayed at a motel in St. Helens. Launched at Scappose Bay and anchored up in a hogline off of Columbia City, on the Wash side. Three of us fished two days. Final score, three URBs. I lucked out. Got a 36 pound Chinook, second biggest Chinook I ever got. The other two were in mid 20's. The bite is still going on. My buddy sent me an email and on Sunday he got two more in the mid 20's. Fished Clancy's, Alvins and Dimonds. The rainbow Alvin seemed the best. Had 300 ft of anchor line and used almost all of it (22 ft Fishright), in 40-45 ft of water. Had to use 14 oz of lead to hold bottom when the tide got running full speed. We had 10-15 boats in our hogline and the bite was consistent alhthough not real red hot. Probably ave one fish/boat, some did better. Nice trip, back to Puget Sound for some silvers tommorrow.
