I'll be fishing out of Lapush this Saturday. I'll let you know how we do.

What a trip. Started out at LaPush Saturday morning by following Gutz out and hit fish right off the bat. Had 8 to the boat in first half hour with 2 keepers when the Son-in-law turned green.. The real ugly chunks are a coming green. Since I still like him we took him in to shore. hour in ahalf later we are back at it but the bite had cooled of and we ended the day with just 3 fish. Sunday we were back at it and ended with 3 very nice fish with one at 15lb. Remembered the bait bullets from Aunty M and put them to work.. I did not have to bait another hook the rest of the trip as the girls could doit it just fine with them little dohickey's. Thanks Marsha. Monday was slowwith just one fish in the box but we did manage to loose a couple of nice keeper kings. Sassafraskitty's sister was just a little peeved about that hog coming unstuck.

Monday afternoon pulled camp and headed south to hook up with Ibgrizz and some URB action. Tues day produce 2 nice brite fish to 16lb and wed 2 to 20lb. My coweboy friend and his lady had a good time catching the biggest fish of their lives. They left thursday morning to pickup their new boat. I guess they have been corrupted as they were muttering about selling horses and when was the next trip. go figure.
Ran back up to CQ Wed and fished thursday friday and sat. Thursday adn friday were excellent days. Thursday we went thru 2 doz herring in 1.5 hours forthe 2 hatchery fish we needed to limit the boat. Friday we released 3 kings to 30lb.

With the long drive home facing us we pulled off the water early saturday and were on the road by noon following some wiring repairs to the trailer harness and to the camper harness too.

Thanks to everyone who hfelped out along the way. It was great to see Dogfish blow by like a scalded cat Monday afternoon and witnessing Gutz'z cullinary skills first hand. Thnaks Ibgrizz for helping a rookie figure out some stuff. Had to love Andys "tent" and Bigdog2250 camped in the middle of the swamp.

We put in 8 days on the water for 21 keeper fish to 20lb. Relased a whole lot of natives and had a bunch of fun. Looking forward to next year already but maybe earlier for some King action.

We did have to stop in shelton for a new trailer tire as one had a sepreation but the boys at les Schwabs took care of it for us.

Till the next time ... tite lines
