More chantrelles, some giant puffballs, and one very prime specimen of Agaricus augustus for an hours effort tonite. Gotta homemade peach cobbler in the oven also.

Wow Lobster mushrooms everywhere! They are a bit of a pain to clean but well worth the effort. Big bag of white and orange chantrelles today also.

We did shrooms today... chickens, HUGE pile of yella chantrelles, king bolettes.. we got some great picking in the woods going on right now.

What a year! Lotsa chanterelles and Unidentified Fungoid Organisms. The chanterelles are sopping wet. I put several layers of newspaper, topped off with brown grocery bag paper on the table; then I spread the pick o' the day out on these to dry. Much of the forest duff falls off the shrooms as they dry out, and the rest is easy to brush off.
