Whate's happening on the Rogue River.

Corp of Eng. is finally lowering the water flow in the upper Rogue. Starting on the 15th of Sept. the flows are being cut 100 cfs per night (started at 2,000 cfs) over a 10 day period.

This will cut the flows down to the 1,000 cfs level and really 'push' the fish together. Better yet, with the cold nights/cool days of the past two weeks the water temps are down to the low 50's. Fish are becoming VERY active!!!!

Last fish count was 9-15 at 6,800 summer runs into the top 30 miles of river (that said, the number from the last count didn't change much at all) and a similar number of fall kings.

With the water dropping, the 'hook ratio' should improve significantly.
