Not aware of anyone purchasing one here in Washington as the 209 ignition systems are not legal for use during the Muzzleloader season. You guys have different rules in Oregon? Many states allow different things. Can you use scopes as well?

One of the AHE hunts? Good luck! Ever thought of using a shotgun with a slug barrel?

I only use black powder in firearm restricted areas. So I use a Thompson Omega .50 cal. I use 150 grs of Tripple Seven pellets and a 250gr hornady sst sabot.

This is an accurate load in my gun

I live in Pennsylvania and purchased a .50 cal Winchester X-150 stainless barrel for use during the early muzzleloader season. The gun is a bit heavy but it feels and shoots great. I shoot the new T/C 300 shockwaves. At 100 yards I can get three rounds to touch. The pattern opens up up after that. I run a range rod through after the third shot. I took a nice whitetail at 150 yards and the gun performed wonderfully. In PA you can't use the inlines during the regular muzzleloader season. The weapon has to be a flintlock only, but it can be one of theose new flintlocks that shoots pyrodex.

You can use an inline during the regular firearm season as long as you have a ML tag. I just bought a .50 cal CVA Kodiak magnum from Midway USA. The price was about $75 off. It's light but the camo stock s not as high quality as the Winchester. I will probably purchase the Winchester Apex in the spring. I love those even though are a bit heavy. I saw a few of the Omegas get busted triggers. The trigger seems real cheap. I think the Omega like most Thompson products are sweat though.
