WOW..... just took out my new Olympic Arms LTM4 AR-15 and shot it for the first time this morning.
All I can say is this is one Wicked shooter!
Mine is stock except for their factory trigger job, adjustable M2 rear sight and an AimPoint Comp ML2 red dot sight..... it's sweeeet!
I took some pictures @ the range out past our house this morning, and will add to this post later.
The Oly Arms LTM4 is new this year and not even in their '04 catalog.
To check it out go to their website @
www.olyarms/usa.com and scroll down the front page and their it is.
What I can tell you is LT stands for Lightweight Tactical
It's a semi auto version of the militarys M4 carbine battle rifle
It weighs like 6 lbs
Has a Fluted 16" Barrel
Ace FX Stock
Frish Rail handguard
Flip up front and rear sights
Excepts all GI 20-30 5.56mm round mag.
Shoots both 5.56mm Nato and .223 Remington ....not all AR-15s can do so.
I'm not the best shot in the world, and it's too cool when I can pick up a new weapon and hit the target with the frist few rounds. .....maybe board member "Rattler" will see this and chime in....."Rattler" aka Tom Spithaler is the Sales/Marketing Manager for OLy Arms and sure knows his products and can fill us in on some more info.....but Tom maybe out of the country right now?
I'm kinda interested in getting into stock class 3 gun tactical match shooting.....anyone on the board know mutch about this, as I do not?

You just need to get the forward handle like my buddy Steve has on his (right), and It will look a bit more like what the pro's use. Desert Camo is optional. Not that you would want to, but a collapable stock from a pre ban gun would look cool, as well.

Cool pics Andy! My hats off to your buddies for helping defend our freedom.
I do have a tactial grip for my LTM4, also a laser sight and tactial lite. Here's a picture of the Oly Arms LTM4 w/ AimPoint Comp2 ML sight @ the range the other day....
...and a picture of my Oly Arms PCR-5 with a Harris Bipod and and Leupold VX-II 3x9x40 scope... ....I don't care for the scope sitting that high on the rifle, so looks like I'm going to put a Oly Arms PCR-8 complete upper on the rifle. It has a flat top rec. and 20" bull barrel, just what I need for my varmet/target rifle

Well...after spending 5 weeks in the middle east on work, had a little play money and decided to follow Bob's lead and get myself a little Olympic Arms toy (been thinking about it for awhile)! Kinda new to these kind of rifles, but decided on the CAR97 M4. Somewhat basic model, not quite all the bells and whistles that Bob's has, but I'm excited to get some add ons after putting some rounds through it! Pretty good price from Atlantic Arms. Can't wait for it to arrive in the next week or so! Thanks to all who have posted on this subject and pointed me in the right direction to research them and make my decision.

now, anyone know where to get bulk .223 ammo at a good price?

Hey Wayne, when you get a minute, post a picture of that bad boy!
I was lucky enough to attend Olympic Arms Customer Appreciation Day @ the Range II yesterday, with my dad.
We went on a tour through Oly Arms factory in Olympia, then went to the Evergreen Gunclub for a Day on the rifle/pistol range, BBQ and a raffle.
We had a chance to shoot almost all their rifles and pistols.
Wayne your CAR-97M4 is a sweet shooter, dad and I put a lot of rounds through one.... you're going to be one happy camper with that gun.
I know whats on my list next, a PCR-8 in 5.56 and maybe a "Street Deuce" .45 model 1911 pistol down the road.

Copy the URL, then click "image", clear the line by back spacing, hit paste, and you're done. I find having two windows open works well when posting pics.

Wayne, thats sweeeet!
I've been out @ least once a week with my Olys and the more rounds I put through them the more I like them!
I think if I were to sell my PCR-5(which I'm not ) the rifle I'd replace it with would be a flat top CAR-97M4. So my plan now is to put a PCR-8 Upper(w/ flat top, 20" fluted Bull barrel on my PCR-5 Lower and buy a CAR-97M4 lower for my PCR-5 upper .....man I need a bigger gun safe.
Question 4 you guys, what dates are the Puyallup GunShow this month & next(Oct & Nov)?.....maybe we can hook for an afternoon of bargin searching?
On other gun news, sent my FN FAL L1A1 off to be stripped then blued(Gun gray not blue )as the parkerizing started to look like crap. I should get it back in a couple weeks and will post some pictues on it's return.
I was talking to DrifterRat(Shane) a few weeks ago about getting out for some trigger time @ the range. So maybe in the next couple months (When I slow down a little) we could have a Steelheader.net Day @ the Range. Maybe be easier if I come over to you guys, maybe like Evergreen GunClub west of Olympia, any ideas?

KK, great choise!
I sure like my PCR-5 and I think you'll like 5.56/.223 better than .30 cal carbine anyway.
What are you going to do, to start tricking it out?
I'm in the process now of putting a PCR-8 upper on my PCR-5 lower, and buying a complete CAR-97M4 lower w/ adjustable butt stock on my PCR-5 upper.

Well I was going to start with the carbine adjustable stock and fluted barrel in time. I would like the fluted barrel with the vortex flash surpressor. I may change the grip too if I find a better one. HMMMMMM all the options.

Bob, My Glock is a 22 .40cal, I like it but suck at shooting accuracy with it. My buddy has a Sig Pro 9mm that I absolutely love.
Got some new toys for the AR last night! After doing a bunch of research on the net, I ordered up a Aimpoint Comp ML2 2x scope and one of those Olympic Arms vertical grip/tripod. Just gotta add the newly legal collapsable stock and I think I'll be set!
Damn these toys are expensive...just like fishing toys I guess. Anyone found any good deals on bulk ammo?!

Hey Wes, did you find a deal on your AimPoint, or is there such a thing?
Mine is a Comp ML2, I'd like to check out your 2x sometime.
I bought mine new off ebay, but was still over 4 bills with the mount. ....and how I'm lookin @ a Trijicon Acog for my PCR-5
