Spinning Rod question
      #144367 - 11/03/04 10:39 PM

What is the guide placement for a 9ft6in spinning rod?

Guides go on spine or opposite the spine?

Iso,

What type and size of guides are you working with?

There are groups that go different ways on spine.
I place spinning rod guides on the spine.

Check out http://www.rodbuilding.org/faq.html#5 for a good description of the reasons for going one way or another.

I'd highly recommend you do the new concept system for placing the guides. It works too well not too. If you go to www.rodbuilding.org and look in the library page it explains how to set it up.
