Yeah man, I'm down. The crappy thing is I just started doing the work thing for some extra $$$, so weekends are pretty much my only option for about a month or so.

I'll give you a call or you call me. We still have that Jon Boat at our disposal, so.......

I need to get out. I haven't even whacked a quacker yet this season

How lame am I? I saw a flock of lessers the other day and heard some widgeons on the lake over here so I know some migrants are around. Lame.

Fish I would be if you turned this down. glad to have you back and looking forward to it. You have any Ideas of a spot that would be good? all my leases are tied up with legal stuff city limits moved over the places so I am having trouble getting the ok to hunt it now. There is Nisqualie and duckabush haven’t checked out ducka yet this year but any ideas are welcome. Jim

Sounds great. Saturdays are better. Monday-Friday (unless it is a holiday) is defiantly out.

Hmmm fresh duck for the holidays.

I have two 12 gauges. I have a black dog too. Where could we go?

I know of a few spots, but it has to keep raining and flood the crap out of one of em'. December is usually good. I usually hunt in Eastern Washington so I don't know of many spots on this side. We need to go to the coast. Who all has a boat?

I like weekdays too. Dammit.

I might be interested as well. Got my camo canoe, a few dozen dekes, and three or four guns, so it looks like we have everybody covered.

How about the Skokomish Tidal flats put in on the Hoodsport?Potlatch side and head across towards the mouth. Ther are lots of little inlets and gravel bars that hide small coves. If you access from there most of the land is still public and have no trespassing issues. Lots of widgeons, Teal, geese and a few mallards

Find me some Canadians and I'll bring ol Mossy. I've never had a chance to hunt waterfowl, and would really love to kill some of those foul CDN geese. We gots us a serious grudge agin 'em.
When you talking about doing this? I've not had much chance to do much of anything this yr, other than work/renovations, so I'd like to play with the thunderstick.

What kind of 12g loads? Steel or tungsten shot only, right? 3"? Somehow the old home defense load of 00 just doesn't seem right for birds (although....)

The Mouth of the Skok would be cool. Never hunted it but have heard good things from buddy's in Shelton. Have you hunted it 1960? Let's all go there. Wouldn't it be better to launch at the Union ramp to get to the mouth easier? Closer than the Potlatch ramp methinks. Morning ducks, afternoon Chum"p"s. I'm sure we could find a few of those nasty bastiches in the canal this time of year.

Since Aix started the thread, I designate you as the coordiator. Make it happen. Set a date. Call the spot.

Another option would be The mouth of the Union in Belfair. They already have blinds there too. I've hunted it before an it can be productive. You can probably hunt 6 guy's out of the two blinds. Need a boat to access it though.

I've got access to a boat, 14' wide Jon. Don't have a tow rig though. I would travel in it with 3 people a dog and gear. Not in rough open salt though. Been there, done that. Doh.

So....Aix get the ball rolling. You got my number. I'll help you out with whatever.

Duckabush you could hunt 3 blinds maybe 4 if everyone coordinates and you don't really need a boat. I do sometimes take my kayak if I want to haul all of my decoys out there. It's dependent upon the birds showing up....usually after the first good winter storm.

I'll make a scouting trip tomorrow. If the birds are there then it just a matter of having the right tide to hunt without a boat.

I have a spot where everyone with a Seaduck stamp could get their 4 scoters in a few minutes, plus we might get a few goldeneye, and a butterball or two. It is a saltwater hunt.

Save a clam, shoot a seaduck.

It would require some boats, but I have three I could donate to the cause. Canoes and cartoppers are the order of the day here. Hunting in this spot starts around Turkey Day.

High tide is the best time. I'll call the landowner about permission.

Sunday the 21st works for me, I might have to get childecare for the 20th. I'll be in Leavenworth on the 3rd.

I'd be interested too, have a shotgun will travel...mostly grouse, pheasant and the occasional quail for me. Never duck hunted but wanting to try it. Let me know, i'm available most days on the back half of the week.
