Damned. Isn't that the one you really like Fred that you have a hard time getting here? Trying to remember the name of the stuff you got at Trader Joes.

Well techniqually Glenmorangie is a Highland Malt rather than a Speyside malt. It is distillied in the Town of Tain which lies 30 or so miles North of Inverness.
Do you want me to recomend a true Speyside malt?

It all tastes the same to me, LOL, I am back to my micro brewed tasty ales now. No more red wine or malts. Heres my current fly tying brew:
Leinenkugels - North Woods
Make sure you enter age and enter the lodge, check it out.

Yup!!
Have an UNOPENED (true, true, strange for me) bottle of 10 year old "Speyburn" from Rothes, Moray, Scotland for a trip this week to the Deschutes. Any good? Got 'it' at a VERY good price.
(Understand Trader Joes in California has several very good malt distillers 'branding' for them. Average price is $16-$18 per bottle, but (usual lables) very 'high end stuff. Will report back with more info on this asap.)
Update from my father in law:
I'll certainly take a look. The last time I was at TJs, I found a bottle of Aberlour under their trademark, T.J., and the time before it was T. J.s bottle of Macallan, both at 16.99. But, If this makes a difference, both are 10 year old Scotch. It was just a short time between visits, and they did not have the Macallan on the shelf, so your friend may be right, a one shot deal.

Well, truth be told, my wife has stated (emphaticly) that I have been known to 'loose the cork' and couldn't stand the idea of letting anything 'evaporate.' Waste not-want not.

Homer it's just an occasional "Wee dram." Helps take the bite out of my arthritis and the chill from my bones after a long day of pursuing fish. Fred you get those 'emphatic' observations also?

Homer I am a very simple uncomplicated boid. I just really enjoy a 'taste' occasionally of those smokey spirits redolent in heather. I'm half Scottish and a quarter Irish.....with a quater viking Danes mixed in. I get athritic as the seasons change as they are and being part Irish I sometimes experience melancholy. Both are brightened by a 'wee dram' of the old sod once in a while. The viking part of me is the mean part you have likely seen....not good to feed boooze to the the Danish part of me if I am moody. My friends like Aunty can attest to my moodiness. I still am dealing with the unatural act of 10 year old Macallan selling for 17 bucks . That is really barbaric! Other than that you should find me to be very uncomplicated as a personality.

Hey Guys,
I would have to cast my vote for an early morning snort of "Bookers".
That will take away the chill in the bones and the arthritic pains of any.
Just have to be careful as it is 110 proof....

Actually, internet posting problems .. sorry for the 'repeat.' A longer memory would have 'reminded me' what the 'first post' had said.
But the common theory is the first two things that "go" as you get older is 1) your memory; 2) ... crap .. can't remember the second!
