not to much as far as steel goes on the lake superior tribs anyway,i don't know what happens on the lake michigan tribs.you could always get out on a boat and do some trolling for trout and salmon or go inland for some warm water fish walleyes, pike, bass, crappies.let me know where you will be at pete cuz i am not to far from wis. and if you are close maybe i could show you around,i grew up in northern wis.Happy new year to you and i will talk to ya later,Bruce

Yes, the steelhead and salmon will not be in the rivers then, but inland waters trout, bass, musky, and walleye are good in June. Also a charter on lake michigan for salmon and trout is another option. WI has some great inland river and lake fishing you may want to check out if time permits. Where are you going to be visiting and statying for the wedding ?

if you are in the Kenosha area I could hook you up with a Lake Michigan trip, Charter or a privit boat maybe. I still have some friends back there.

Think Musky, the big ones are in the shallows spawning in June and on the prowl. You don't have these in WA but WI is the premier state for them. Nothing like a hard day throwing the big stuff after the big girls on a June Wisconsin day and then top it off with some Leinies !!

We do have Tiger Musky in Mayfield and Merwin Res.
But you are right there is some thing about chucking a big bucktail or a 7" jerkbait and having it stop in mid cast.
Hey Pete if you get one of them bad boys don't put your hand in there mouth.

I ahould tell you fellows the story about the monster Chippewa Flowage musky I lost ten years ago. It still seems like a dream to me, what a fish and experience, the lure just stopped, thought I was into a stump for 5 minutes, knew there was no stumps there though on Petes Bar (sand bar world famous for big Musky), then the stump started moving and towing my 16 foot lund.

See the story from this year called Jaws 2 on this link, theres another big one in there. The skull of Jaws 1 was found near where I lost my big musky, and there are always talk of Big Muskys around Pete's Bar. The world record L. Spray 69 lber was taken very close to this area less than a mile away. Great country up there and fishing.

Chippewa Flowage

I can tell you one thing, at the end of a long day throwing those big musky lures its time for IBprofein and a nice cold Leinies to soothe the sore body muscles. Musky are like steelhead sometimes "The fish of 10,000 casts". LOL

Literally and figuratively.

Pete,
We've got Tiger Muskies in Lake Tapps and Green Lake also. Teeth on these guys will keep you out of the water. Chums might have some slightly larger canines but Muskies have lots, I mean lots, of teeth. Mayfield has them over 20 lbs.
This is a little one from Lake Tapps.

I actually know a little about the fishing around the Fox Cities in the summer. Mostly catfish, carp, and crappie. You'd need a boat.

This can't be healthy. All this fishing is really messing with my head.
