Strange Thing Happened Today new
      #154001 - 12/10/04 06:17 PM

Another agent in my office asked me if I knew somewhere her client could store some guns while he went to Canada for "awhile". I told her that he could store them in my gun cabnet. Upon meeting the guy, he said he was thinking of selling them. I told him of a couple gun stores in Sequim and PA that might buy them. I also told him I might be interested if the price was right. Ends up that the 1 gun shop he went to wouldn't buy them till the first of the year, so he decided to leave them with me. He said I could go shoot them if I wanted. Since the other agent has alot of this guys personal info, I didn't bother to give or get a receipt. Heck, I never even looked at the guns until I got home.

What did I find when I got home? Well, I found a bag full of various ammo. One bag has a flare gun, an old Ruger 22 cal. automatic pistol, and an S&W .357 Highway Patrolman. The .357 is in a plastic bag that has a label on it that reads --

San Diego County Sheriff's Department

EVIDENCE

Case No. I am not gonna type it.
Item # 1
Date Sealed 12-9-99
Sealing Officials Signature.

Then there is the Ruger Mini 14 .223 that is in a soft case.

Strange or what? Any idea what this stuff is worth if it is legal?

Bux, I think I'd be calling the local law enforcement over the 357. Just my opinion.

Definately call...you are in possesion of evidence obviously stolen!!

It is worth you having a trip to the slammer if you don't report it right away!

The Border Patrol (and Canada Customs) might be real interested in his trip to Canada...
