I hope you didn't just drop a ton of money (which is what this brand of fly reel costs!) but the original designer of the reels (also the actual manufacturer) have now 'split.'
The 'new loop designs' will come from these fellows (http://www.syrstad.no/hovedsider/home_eng.html). Interesting read to say the least. Will also put in a web connect for the 'Danielson Reels;' cost will be WAAAY less with his 'name' on it vs. what it was with 'Loops.'

Another interesting thing is the "US distributor" has a southern Oregon (541) area code. Hummmmm???

These reels were way over priced before, but they are nice. Maybe down in my price range now but I already have too many fly reels !

Hey guys... Looks like the longtime Loop USA main man (Ron Larson - In Roseburg, and once of Umpqua Feather Merchants) has gone off with Danielsson... good deal, as Rajeff took over all of the Loop stuffs, much to many people's chagrin.
I think this is a good thing. Loop lost Henrik Mortensen a couple years ago when he started Scierra, as well.

Also, if you go to the Loop site, you will only see the composite CLW reels listed anymore...

Gus, Why would people by upset that Rajeff took over the Loop distributorship for the USA. Jeff wasn't doing a good job and alienated many customers and potential customers. I suppose it doesn't really matter now as Tim Rajeff has pulled out and will not be the Loop USA distributor. I am however curious why you would make the above statement on 2/4/05. Being as closely associated with Loop as you have been surely you already know the facts.

Rajeff pulled out? Interesting as quite abit of their/others advertising still mentions him by name.
