Seascape Resort across from Campbell River on Quadras Island is an excellent quiet place to stay. Nice A frame cabins with kitchens.

They have a private dock right in front of the cabins for your boat, or they have several rental skiffs, or several charters. There's a couple large lodges on the island but I can't recall their names.

The Haig-Brown house is right on the river and is a B and B. Haig-Browns library in the house is a must see for fly fisherman.

OBMG has a beautiful Lodge there called Painters Lodge. They also have a property across the way on Quadra Island.

We fished (it was a few years ago) out of Brown's Bay, which is up the road a few miles. Gets you past the Seymour Narrows. There were boat rentals at Brown's Bay that were pretty reasonable as well as a boat launch and moorage.

There is a really nice Campground just outside of town as well.

Seymour Narrows is oh such fun to run a boat thru on a tide change.

IS Campbell River where a guy really wants to go? I have that area has been in a slump the last few years.

Anyone know anything about Nootka sound? I have heard lots of good reports from that area.
