During it’s peak week of the year, what fishery is your hottest?
Tell us how many you catch (& release,) and how big they are.
(Mine is probably the Harrison River mouth in BC, where at it’s peak time of mid-October I usually enjoy battling 30-40 hard-fighting chum salmon per day, each an arm-bending 11lbs. or so.)

Good question, Trick.
I thought about it a little more and thought that catching these giant fish was, on shall we call it a "pounds per cast basis," probably at least as productive as shad. If the water is not low, in my "secret" spot, I can often get one every other cast.
Also, Harrison chums average 11lbs. in many years...probably as big as the world-record shad, by the way. But I had one that was maybe 22lbs. or so and was an INCREDIBLE fighter - hooked in the mouth - as good of a fighter as any King I've caught. Some years 17lb. chums there are not that unusual. I had one jump 11 times on me and I lost ALL of my line off the reel too (he spooled me and kept on going).
The MOUTH of Harrison River has "fresh" fish, but not a lot of fresh ones upstream.

Gotta be area 10 Cohos , second week of Sept.
trolling Coho flies at mach 3, they hit so hard at this speed, I had one completely destroy a fish-on rod holder on the strike, stripped out all the click stops and rendered it usless, doubles like this are common.
targeting the deep water(600'+) rips out in the
shipping lanes, on or near the surface,away from
other boats can produce some dynomite fishing. a baby Sekiu, tons of fun, and close to home. got several last fall aproching 14 pounds,lots in the 10 pound range, not bad for Puget Sound Coho.

A few other great spots, mostly from what I’ve heard, are:
The White River in Arkansas (allegedly twice as many trout per mile as any stream in Washington, Montana or Oregon, for example.) Particularly in the catch and release sections.
Swiftsure (Bank) SW of Bamfield in British Columbia, in the ocean for lots of different species. Summer when the salmon are in, especially.
Vedder River in SW British Columbia in October for Kings, Coho, and Chum. I’ve caught (& released) 25+ salmon per day, and so have plenty of other people.
Bella Coola River system, and Skeena River system for summer salmon. Both in British Columbia. Lots of good sized fish.
