Minnesota's North Shore new
      #180043 - 04/05/05 03:16 PM

Anyone have any information on the Steelhead activities in the tributaries of Lake Superior along Minnesota's North Shore?

--------------------
I reside on the North Shore of Minnesota. Just three hundred yards off of a great trout river. I try to fish once a week, sometimes that doesn't work out, then withdrawl kicks in.....

hey alright someone else from mn welcome to the forum, the rivers are flowing pretty good right now from what i have heard and don't think anyone is fishing them yet.but the brule is putting out some fish and the loopers and cohos are hitting along the shore.being that you are from two harbors you might want to try the mouth of the stewart and see what is going on.

Well, I can see the Stewart from my property here, and my friend lives right on it. People have been out at the mouth of the river, but not much action has been happening. What would you recommend fishing and with what setup, I mainly prefer the river fishing with dry flies, but I am open to anything. ????

Thanks for all the advice. I primarily do river fishing and was looking for someone with advice on that for the tributaries along Lake Superior. You advice is still good and I have most of the ingredients in that mixture, so I will have to give it a go sometime. Any other "North Shore" residents, or aficionados on this site?
