Surgury for my Lab new
      #184795 - 05/03/05 05:12 PM

My nine year old Choc. Lab has surgury tomorrow. She has a small growth on her lower eye lid that needs to be removed. While she is under she also is having one cracked tooth pulled and possibly a second one.
She knows something is up, because I gave her dinner at 3:00PM and she never gets fed before 6:00PM. She will be hungry in the morning, but can't eat before surgury. I have to have her at the Vets by 7:00AM. This is probably worse on me than it will be for her! LOL I just hope the old girl heals up quickly. Bill

Good luck Bbob, don't for get the plastic cone to protect her from working on it herself after the surgery....I'm not sure what's worse, the surgery or watching the dog run into everything with that big cone on her kneck.

This can't be healthy. All this fishing is really messing with my head.

The surgury went fine. Her teeth were cleaned and only one small front tooth had to be pulled. She lost control of her bladder for the first day, but now seems in control again and doing very well. She must wear a cone for a week and I found out quick what John was talking about. Thanks, Bill
