403 lb. warsaw grouper speared in 425' of water
      #192482 - 06/22/05 09:15 PM

The warsaw grouper was shot in 425' feet of water on SCUBA and is quite the buzz in Florida. I just wanted to share it with you guys. The fish was shot in the Gulf of Mexico off of the coast of Florida. Here is a link to another site with the original story and more pics. 403 lb grouper story

It was a like a grease fire. The man needed some sleep before he told everyone the story so all we could do was marvel at the pic and say holy...

I can proudly say I know the proper technique to drinking a flaming shot. The man in the avatar did not

That fish is incredible. I found it interesting to read the thread in general. The report was indeed buried deep in the pages. From Florida to Washington, big fish get flamed on the net...I'm deeply impressed. Can you spear fish salmon/steelhead?
