Go Fishing! Duh. Coho and Humpies should be thick in the Strait.

Abbotsford Air Show Aug 12-14 This is one hour East of Vancouver. If you are in the area, you will be affected by traffic. You may as well go. Vancouver Fireworks July 27, 30, Aug 3, 6 Another one to attend or avoid the city because of traffic.
Always be careful where you park in Vancouver and don't leave anything you want to keep in the vehicle

Depends on your perspective I guess. Highest rate of auto-theft in North America, biggest heroine port, very few Port Police, almost no penalty whatsoever for most crime, no concealed carry allowed, underfunded, under-equipped police forces, revolving door court system... those things might bother some people
Should I go on? (please say no)
Maybe because I once rented an apartment from the VPD ERT dispatcher, I have a less optimistic view of my former country and city. I've seen/heard too much. I also worked downtown for several yrs and saw WAYYYY too much.

Toursist things in victoria... buchart gardens, undersea gardens, provincial museum, Can do horse drawn carriages if your romatic and don't mind horse poop.
My personal favorites are the fishing store.. name slips me but its downtown. I usually have to visit "christmas stores" when I go... never seen so many, but its the price I have to pay to visit the fishing shop.
YOu can also do Killer whale watching tours out of the harbor... the real deal on these boats.
I normally walk victoria portion of the trip using the ferry out of Port Angeles.
Victoria= tourist friendly
