Tried Vanish and then threw it away. I like Ande but Ultragreen will work excellent for your purpose.

Been very happy with Izor. I do wish I could get it in larger spools though.
Starting to play with PowerPro braid. Seems to cast smoothly and I can feel every movement of a spoon.

I've been using Ultragreen for trolling for salmon in the Sound for years, it works fine, you can buy it on 3,000 yards spools from Cabela's and save some money.

Suffix (what I use for side drifting and bottom bouncing, as well as pulling hot-shots and warts) is available online in large quantity spools. It's very similar to Izor. I use Trilene Big Game for sturgeon, and trolling Kwikies or eggs behind size 50 Jet divers.
I use Power Pro for some trolling applications and for bass fishing.
I also use Maxima for different types of fishing as well.

I use 65 lb PowerPro for trolling/bottom fishing with 50 lb Trilene Big Game for leader to my hootchies or spoons. Occassionally, I run a mono leader of ultragreen for plugs.

was talking with a local yocal the other day on the shougal who just raved over the seaguar. brewer has never tried a floorcarbon line yet. have been very impressed with izer 10# for general leader for all steelie and silver applications. i don't think fish are trully as leader shy as the masses believe you know. fish get tired of being bombarded with every thing in the low gin clear summer water. their not dodging the leader but the offering itself. to prove this, tie a leaf or small natural object that a fish would see everyday. cast that out and watch if the fish dodges the leaf. ???
i know this is the salt water forum... sometimes brewer gets frustrated with these repetitive ????s

I've used Stren for mainline for years. Never had a problem with it unless I let it get old Had good luck with Ande too. For leaders, mostly Ultragreen.

Maxima Crystal Ivory and Ande, both 20# test, are on my downrigger rods right now. On rods that use a diver I use 50# PowerPro. My leaders used for mooching rigs are 25# Maxima Chameleon, and for my flasher leaders I use 50# big game. You might ask why I use a heavier leader than main line. It makes releasing fish MUCH easier when going through 40+ fish in a day to find your keepers. Never had a mainline break, but I have broken a few leaders when trying to handle hatchert fish over the side of the boat with a de-hooker.
