Squid On new
      #206789 - 09/24/05 09:45 AM

Squid Fishing has been fantastic in the Bremerton area. Very large schools. The squid have also been very very very aggressive. Good size! Also seen some schools of salmon. It should only get better

I have been squidding by 7:30pm, Tonight we were there at 7:10pm. Some very nice size schools and squid! They are acting ver spooky. Since I have also been seeing salmon, that would make sense. Tonight squid fished for about an hour and came home with 25 nice sized squid. Some people off my left were doing even better. A bit deeper water. The best squid fishing was about a week ago when hide tide was around 7:30 and at 11.1+

It should only get better. I wish trhey would allow squid fishing in the Canal.

Where do fish for them? Is there a pier in Bremerton?

I'd like to give it a try.

There's a dock by the Bremerton ferry. It has been 10 years since I last tried it there so I don't have any more details.

The floating dock is where to go. There are usually a few people out there. Just look for the lights. Last I remember it closes at 10 or 11pm. Brownsville is popular along with Waterman pier. Basically any pier will work. You just want a light source.
