Dear God, some times the answer is so obvious ....
Several of us fellows are headed to BC to fish for Chums with local guides the 20-22'nd of October. We're coming up in my motor home, but need info on 'full service' campgrounds (hook-ups for the MH) in the Mission BC area.
Any advice would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!! Fred
ALSO!! please feel free to e mail me at faevans@mind.net

Fred, Contact Freds in Chilliwack ( Fred's Tackle ). They will have the dope for you. I've stayed at the park at Kilby. ( Kilby Provincial Park ) I am not sure if they have hook-ups though. We didn't use them. It's right on the river, and you can fly fish Searun Cutts, Chums, Humpies, and Coho right there. The best spot, however is upstream of the highway bridge. Once you get there, you'll know what I mean. Also don't miss the chum fest on the Stave River. Make sure you lock your rig while up there in BC. I had a vest with 3 reels and 8 boxes of flies, plus all my toos etc, and a camera stolen while fishing the Stave.
Bring lots of hot pink and cherise bunny leeches, weighted heavily.

Joe, stayed at Kilby!! Other than the lack of hook-ups and having to move the motor home to reload the water tank a couple of times BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Place had only a couple of other folks, parked right off the beach, 'Blue Bird' weather all but one day, fishing on the Harrison and Vedder ..... 'shooting fish in the barrel!!' All of us hooked more fish than God should allow.
Each and everyone back into the stream.
One add on. Even though it's still called Kilby Prov. Park, it's not really anymore. Place is run by a local non-profit that has the store center just up the road. While under the BC Gov. the nightly charge was $8.00, it's now $20 (Canadian). Given the facilities, pretty expensive, but over half the sites are right on the river/lake, scenery to die for, etc.
That said, be sure to bring LOTS of money! God, if Canada can slap a 'sin tax' on anything they go for the sky. A generic cig. I buy down here (usually make my own) for $2.75 per pack was $8.35 Canadian; Bal. blended scotch I get for under $19.00/fifth was $35.00 Canadian. You get the picture.

Looks bloody familiar! I'm glad you hit it right, and the rivers didn't blow out. I love that area. Caught lots of nice fish up there. Probably headed back next fall.

"...bloody familiar!" YeGads! Another Canuk or a Brit? Just kidding; wife-type says after 5 days in Canada I can't finish a sentence without saying: "Aiy" or .. pick another one. (By the way, how do you spell Aiy, or Aih, or ???
All that sillyness behind: MOJO you're welcome in my 'retirement gift from me to me' anytime .. as are you all.
