Detroit area fishing
      #213120 - 10/31/05 12:37 PM

Hoping some of you Great Lakes area people can enlighten me as to best time to visit Detroit area to coincide with reasonable fishing prospects. My son now resides in that area and I know nothing about it. If I time a visit for some fishing it could prove enjoyable. He is not much of a fisherman but my daughters make up for what he lacks.

Thanks

Lake St Clair for musky, bass, walleye fishing is your best bet close to Detroit metro area. The best salmon, trout, and steelhead rivers are 2-4 hours north of Detroit on the Michigan Lower Pennisula.

Do a google search on Lake St. Clair fishing you should get lots of information.

Good luck, I have never fished that side of Michigan only the western lower pennisula and the UP.

Good luck
